When you can't see where your vehicles are, it's hard to send the closest one to a job, give a customer a reliable arrival time or check on a driver caught in bad weather. Phone calls and texts don't solve it either, because drivers can't use a phone behind the wheel. And with driving the top cause of workplace deaths in Australia, you need to show you're taking reasonable steps to keep drivers safe. Send jobs and updates to the screen in the cab and get replies back. Messages can only be read or sent while the vehicle is stopped, so drivers aren't distracted at the wheel.
