Wheel nut re-torque reminders

Losing a wheel at highway speed puts your driver and everyone around them at risk. Re-torque alerts help you get wheel nuts checked on time after a tyre change: the Ehubo2 in the cab counts the kilometres and tells your driver when the check is due.

How re-torque alerts help

Wheel nuts that aren't re-tightened soon after a tyre change are a key risk factor for wheel loss, and it's an easy check to lose track of once the vehicle's back at work. Re-torque alerts put a reminder on your driver's screen when the check is due. Vehicle maintenance is also part of your Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations, and records from digital vehicle inspections and fleet maintenance help you show due diligence.

No guesswork after a tyre change

You set the distance, and the reminder turns up by itself once the vehicle has covered it. Nobody has to rely on memory.

In the cab and in MyEROAD

Your driver sees the reminder on the Ehubo2 screen, and fleet managers and dispatchers can see it too.

Straight from your tyre provider

If you use a tyre service, some provoders can send the reminders from their own system through the EROAD API. That way the reminders follow your procedures and the service level agreement (SLA) you have with them.

What re-torque alerts can do

For drivers

The driver gets a message on the Ehubo2 screen saying a re-torque is needed, and asking them to get it done as soon as they can.

For tyre service providers

Providers can connect their own system to the EROAD API and run the re-torque messages from there, which makes their SLAs simpler to manage. The reminder still lands on the driver's screen.

Messages that fit the vehicle

You can label and personalise re-torque messages for the different vehicles you run, so each driver sees wording that suits what they're driving.

With the new tyres on, the reminder gets set. You can do that yourself, or your tyre provider can do it through the EROAD API.

The Ehubo2 counts the kilometres from there.
