Driver safety and fatigue management

Fatigue is a factor in around 20% of fatal crashes in Australia, and it's likely under-reported. After 18 hours awake, a driver reacts about as well as someone with a blood alcohol level of 0.05%. EROAD can warn a tired or distracted driver in the cab and flag it to you as well, so you can act on driver fatigue sooner.

Compliance obligations for transport operators

Chain of Responsibility, fatigue rules, vehicle checks and tax claims all depend on records you can actually produce. EROAD can keep those records for you. Meeting each obligation is still up to you, but you'll spend less time piecing the evidence together.

Claim the fuel tax credits you're owed

If you claim fuel tax credits (FTC) at a standard rate because the real off-road figure is slow to work out and hard to back up, you may be leaving money unclaimed. EROAD records off-road kilometres by GPS, and the ATO has confirmed in Class Ruling 2026/69 that the FTC report EROAD generates using the Ehubo device can be used as a record for FTC purposes. With the right records, you can backdate a claim up to four years.

Questions from transport managers

They can come onto the same platform as your own fleet, so you can see where they are and what they're doing. Seeing it isn't the same as meeting your Chain of Responsibility duty, though. That part stays with you.

Yes. If you've got powered trailers then you can fit the Etrack G70 for near real-time location and run-time. If you can't connect to power, or would prefer not to, then you can secure our Etrack Oyster3 - a battery powered GPS tracker which will report location based on movement or scheduled updates if the trailer's in the yard.

If you want to get driver reporting, then you'll just need drivers to login to the Ehubo2 with a simple 4-digit PIN. This logs any activity to them in MyEROAD. Any other interaction with the Ehubo2 is based on what you need them to do - reply to two-way messages, or confirm they're fit to drive, or complete a pre-start inspection. It can all be done on the same device.

Yes, if you add Proof of Service. It records site visits and completed jobs automatically, and you can give a client access to check the activity in the platform for themselves. The paper sign-off sheet can go.
