Track time on site for every vehicle and machine

Set up each site as a geofence and you'll see every entry and exit, how long each vehicle or machine stayed and how long its auxiliary equipment ran. When a client queries an invoice, you have the record to back it up.

Battery units report on a schedule rather than continuously, and a hardwired unit needs a power source. A Bluetooth tag is only located when an Ehubo2 or the Where app passes close enough to hear it, and it won't give you run hours. Out past mobile coverage, ask about the satellite add-on for heavy vehicles.

How EROAD helps keep your drivers safe

Driving is the top cause of workplace fatalities in Australia - ahead of falls from height. Fatigue is a factor in 20% of fatal crashes. EROAD can alert you to a tired or distracted driver while there's still time to step in. If something does go wrong, you'll have the footage and data to see what happened and coach from it.

Sooner or later someone asks you to show what happened: the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), a regulator, a client querying an invoice or your own safety team. EROAD records it while your vehicles and plant are working, so the evidence is there when they ask. The obligation still sits with you.

Track your plant, tools and equipment

A stocktake that runs on phone calls and someone's memory is slow, and it's easy to end up hiring a machine you already own. Put your plant, tools and bins on the same map as your vehicles and you'll see what's been sitting idle before you hire more in. Pre-start checks and run hours are kept against each machine too.

The checklist runs on the driver's phone. That's how a machine with no cab unit still gets checked. The record sits against that machine, and it's still there months later. A defect goes to the workshop the moment it's logged.

Servicing by run hours

Run hours come off a wired unit, or an Oyster 3 once it has moved 250 metres. That's what plant gets serviced on. The utilisation numbers cover the tags too, so the machine that hasn't moved all month still turns up.

FAQ

Common questions from construction fleets

Yes. Ehubo2, EROAD Locate and Etrack G70 all track run-time for your vehicles and plant so you can get reporting by distance or run-time - and set up run-time based service reminders too.

Two different things here. Gear you fit yourself sits in your account like anything else, subcontractor plant included. Seeing data from a subcontractor's own EROAD account can also be done through EROAD Share - but you won't have full access to everything, so best to confirm what reporting you need.

An Ehubo2 picks up an Etrack Where tag within 70 metres, and a Where Mini tag within 25 metres. The Where app also picks up tags and sends back their location - but the app needs to be open to do that. Metal, and anything throwing out strong radio frequencies, can interfere with Bluetooth or block it completely.

No. Once a driver is logged in using their four-digit PIN, the device starts tracking location and trip data automatically. The only times they interact are when you want them to - with two-way messaging or adding job codes.
