What you'll be able to do

EROAD tracks your vehicle mileage and activity along with fuel records, making reporting to the ATO simpler - and even verifying contract completion to customers.

Claim your full Fuel Tax Credit entitlement, not a conservative guess

Most operators claim Fuel Tax Credits using a standard rate, because calculating actual off-road usage by hand is slow and hard to back up. EROAD's FTC report uses GPS-verified off-road travel matched against your fuel purchases, so your claim reflects what your vehicles actually did, and for fleets with real off-road activity, that difference can be substantial. Claims can be backdated up to four years with the right records in place.

Reports accepted by the ATO

The ATO has confirmed, via Class Ruling 2026/69, that the FTC report generated using the Ehubo device can be used as an official record for Fuel Tax Credit purposes. If the ATO ever questions a claim, the evidence is already there

Fringe Benefits Tax, without the paper logbook

Drivers log trip type - business or personal - directly from the in-cab device as they drive, rather than reconstructing it from memory at the end of the month. That means a more accurate FBT calculation, a lower liability where personal use is genuinely limited, and a lot less end-of-year admin.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Fuel Tax Credits (FTC) are a rebate on the fuel tax already included in the price of fuel, available to Australian businesses for fuel used off public roads or in eligible off-road activity. Many fleets are entitled to claim more than they currently do, because calculating actual off-road usage accurately is difficult without GPS data.

With accurate records in place, FTC claims can be backdated up to four years - so if you've been underclaiming using the standard rebate method, there may be a meaningful amount still recoverable.

Yes. The ATO has confirmed via Class Ruling 2026/69 that the Fuel Tax Credit report generated using the Ehubo device can be used as an official record for FTC purposes.

Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) applies when a work vehicle is also used for personal trips, and is calculated based on how much of the vehicle's use was personal versus business. The ATO requires accurate logbook records to support that calculation. The ATO has confirmed via Class Ruling 2023/19 that the FBT report generated by the Ehubo device can be used as an official record for FBT purposes.
