Mining fleets

Mining is tough. Your fleet tech should be tougher.

Between safety risks, regulatory pressure and harsh terrain, a mining fleet gives you plenty to worry about. Most of it happens a long way from the office, too. We'll show you what's really going on out there, so you can deal with the few vehicles and drivers that need it, and keep a record for when someone comes asking.

Why EROAD

Built for the realities of mining

A mine site asks more of a fleet than a suburban van run. Vehicles cross from site roads to public ones, the site sets its own speed limits, off-road kilometres need counting and gear wanders off. You need to see all of it, not just the trucks.

What you get
  • Track heavy and light vehicles across sites and road networks
  • Spot the gear that's sitting idle
  • An alert when a tracked asset leaves site, and a record of where it went

Compliance without the headaches

Chain of Responsibility means anyone in the supply chain can be asked what they had in place, not just the driver. Pulling that answer together shouldn't mean a week of digging through paper.

  • Pre-start checks and defect reports in EROAD Inspect, an add-on
  • The Fuel Tax Credits add-on uses GPS from an Ehubo2 to count off-road kilometres
  • Checks and claims on record for the day an auditor asks

Safety you can see and act on

If your safety programme runs on what drivers tell you and what supervisors happen to see, you're working from guesses. EROAD shows you which vehicles keep speeding and where, so you know who to talk to first.

In practice
  • Your own site speed limits, set by geofence, with breaches on record
  • After an incident, nobody's relying on memory
  • Evidence you've taken reasonable steps, if it ever comes to that
Workplace safety

The risk worth measuring first

42% of all worker deaths

Vehicle incidents are the top cause of workplace fatalities in Australia, responsible for 42% of all worker deaths.

Clarity Edge AI

This dashcam records when something happens and tags what it saw, so you're not scrubbing through footage to find it. It's an add-on for an Ehubo2.

  • Voice alerts for a distracted driver, and a heads-up for you
  • Video and trip data in one place when something needs looking into
  • For fatigue there's the Clarity Edge Fatigue Camera, a second add-on. The Seat Shaker needs that camera and adds a warning through the seat

Ehubo2 and Etrack

An Ehubo2 goes in the cab. Trailers and gear get an Etrack tracker instead, and both show up in MyEROAD.

  • Out of mobile range? The Iridium Edge satellite add-on keeps vehicles on the map
  • Etrack G70 is wired into the equipment's power and doesn't need an Ehubo2
  • Etrack Oyster 3 runs on battery and does need one
