Clarity Edge is an AI dashcam that normally lives in a truck cab. It keeps an eye on the driver as well as the road.
Fair question. Telematics is the gear in a work vehicle that records where it goes and how it's driven. A rally is the same job with the volume turned up. We've been at it since 2000, starting in New Zealand, and our latest annual report counted 26,089 EROAD units in Australian cabs and on trailers.
In customer trials, 99.3% of the driver behaviour events Clarity Edge detected would never have been caught by a standard dashcam.
Clarity Edge, the AI-powered in-vehicle camera.
Clarity Edge spots risky driving as it happens. It's a hardware add-on to an EROAD telematics plan, not a standalone camera.
Clips upload by themselves, tagged with the behaviour that triggered them, so you're not scrubbing through video before a coaching chat.
The AI looks for phone use, distraction, driving without a seatbelt and tailgating.
The Clarity Edge Fatigue Camera, a separate add-on, spots yawning, frequent blinking and eyes closed for more than 1.5 seconds, even through sunglasses.
Voice alerts in the cab say exactly what the problem is, instead of just beeping, so the driver can sort it out straight away.
Memories differ after an incident, even when everyone's being honest. The footage, with speed and location beside it, shows what really happened, so a not-at-fault driver can be cleared sooner.
Managers are notified too. With the Fatigue Camera, you can add EROAD Monitored Service, which puts a third-party team on the fatigue alerts, working to your escalation plan.
