At EROAD, we’re committed to our purpose of delivering intelligence our customers can trust, for a better world tomorrow.

We celebrated several key milestones across our global organization in 2024. We surpassed 250,000 connected units, celebrated a decade of doing business in North America and Australia, and marked ten years of being listed on the NZX, the national stock exchange of New Zealand. Our focus on driving customer outcomes was also recognized when we were named finalists in the Company of the Year category at this year’s Hi-Tech Awards in New Zealand, where we have our global headquarters.

In 2024, our goal was to find more ways to empower fleet transformation. This has been the driving force behind multiple new products, platform enhancements, and industry engagements. Here are our top highlights from 2024.

Better platform experience

We’ve been continuously working alongside customers to roll out updates and enhancements on our platforms that deliver a more seamless, intuitive experience for our users:

1. MyEROAD Fleet Map upgrade provides better definition between road types, displays restrictions that could impact your route planning, and supports handy features like exit numbers and delivery entrances to make navigation easier.

2. Replay, our video viewing portal now seamlessly connects with Core360, enabling customers on the platform to easily investigate incidents.

3. When reviewing dashcam footage, customers sometimes need a little more context to understand what happened immediately before or after. We’ve made this simple and intuitive by adding buttons below the Replay clip to review the previous 20 seconds and the next 20 seconds of footage.

4. Enterprise Authentication simplifies user management and helps keep fleet data secure, by aligning user access to the customer organisation’s active directory or identity provider. Single sign-on, also known as SSO, allows a user to access multiple applications or websites by logging in with one username and password, creating a secure and seamless login experience.

Improving fleet efficiency

5. EROAD Nav is a new navigation app based on customer feedback to improve the driver navigation experience. It includes detailed truck-specific navigation, faster over-the-air map updates and more responsive routing.

6. Collaboration with BCMI, announced earlier this year will enable better driver communication and additional functionality across platforms for customers choosing BCMI and EROAD as ready-mix technology providers.

Intelligent driver safety

EROAD has been helping fleets to improve safety for years, and with these new products and enhancements we’re helping fleets to continue making their fleets safer.

7. The new Clarity Edge AI-dashcam takes driver safety to the next level by monitoring the driver and the road in real-time for potential behavioral hazards, like mobile use, speed and stop-sign violations and tailgating. Instant driver alerts can reduce the likelihood of accidents. Mark Davidson, EVP of Sales and Marketing, and Soumya Puri, Senior Product Manager, shared their expertise on this podcast.

8. A refreshed layout in Replay and new automated tags for behaviors detected deliver a comprehensive view of what’s happening to make improvements, coach drivers and intervene before a serious incident occurs.

9. Enhanced severe overspeed alerts feature, which alerts operators if a vehicle breaches a speeding threshold for any speed zone, e.g. going 10mph over the road speed.

Streamlined reporting

This year we enabled additional features to streamline reporting and deliver more insights for customers:

10. EROAD integrates with Wex, Comdata, and FuelCloud fuel cards. With this integration, you can sync transactions and usage data directly from the pump to your fuel transaction reporting in MyEROAD. Say goodbye to manual uploads and streamline fuel usage.

 11. Save time and file your IFTA reports with confidence with the ability to allocate degraded miles directly from the IFTA report.

Leading industry discourse on empowering fleet transformation

Advancing fleet efficiency, safety, and sustainability has been high on the agenda this year as our team of experts attended multiple industry events across the country, joined podcasts, and were invited to join several conference panels:

12. Senior Sales Engineer Travis Ross, VP of Marketing Sarah Wicker and EROAD Co-CEO David Kenneson were each invited to join the FreightWaves podcast this year to talk about trends in the industry and driving significant savings for fleets through simple, actionable data.

13. Chief Sustainability Officer Craig Marris and Chief Data Science Officer Dean Marris were invited to a FleetOwner webinar to discuss how businesses can harness the power of AI for safer, more efficient fleets. Dean Marris was also invited onto a panel session to discuss AI in ready-mix at the Texas Aggregates & Concrete Association’s Annual Meeting.

14. We showcased our solutions at industry events for the Transportation, Construction, and Refrigerated markets, including NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks 2024, ATA MCE 2024, and the National Private Truck Council Conference. Travis Ross led an insightful session for the second year running at the IFDA 2024 Solutions Conference.

15. Down in New Zealand, we showcased a variety of technologies and demonstrations to advocate for continued improvement in road safety outcomes at the annual EROAD Fleet Day event.

Renewing key customer relationships

16. Several significant American businesses chose to continue their partnership with EROAD this year, including ABC Supply Co and Medline Industries.

Looking ahead, we are excited to deliver even more value, innovation, and enhancements across our platform. Our focus will be on introducing cutting-edge solutions that address the evolving needs of our customers, while continuously improving the reliability and performance of our platforms.
