Akinyemi Koyi (AK), President
Akinyemi Koyi has more than 20 years of experience as a leader and innovator in the technology sector. Working in a variety of industries, Akinyemi has built, managed and nurtured highly skilled, successful teams while overseeing complex engineering projects. He joined EROAD in 2021 when EROAD acquired Coretex, a telematics company where Akinyemi was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer.
Akinyemi brings to EROAD a dedication to innovation, people-focused leadership and a commitment to creating technology solutions that support the safety and success of our customers.
Craig Marris, Executive Vice President of Mixed Fleets
Craig Marris is a co-founder of Coretex, a telematics company acquired by EROAD in 2021. Originally from New Zealand, he has been based in the United States since 2006, when he launched the company’s North American Operations. Craig was also instrumental in launching Coretex’s in-cab compliance solution in 2009.
Craig has a double degree in marketing and economics from Otago University and is a graduate from the Harvard Business School of Analytics, graduating with distinction. At EROAD, Craig will lead the cold chain and in-cab verticals.
Dean Marris, Executive Vice President of Construction Materials and Waste and Recycling
Dean Marris is a co-founder of Coretex, a telematics company acquired by EROAD in 2021. Dean moved to the United States in 2014 from New Zealand, where he was CEO in Australasia for International Telematics. In the U.S., Dean launched the company’s North American Operations for construction materials and built-up direct sales for in-cab and refrigeration.
Dean has a double degree in marketing and economics from Otago University and is a graduate from the Harvard Business School of Analytics, graduating with distinction. At EROAD, Dean will lead the construction materials and waste and recycling verticals.
Norm Ellis, Executive General Manager, Enterprise
Norm Ellis is a 30-year industry veteran, who combines his passion for trucking with proven leadership, sales and marketing skills to successfully bring innovative solutions to market.
After a 20-year career in operations, sales, and marketing for several national trucking companies, Norm took his knowledge and expertise to then up-and-coming telematics provider QUALCOMM in 1997 and became instrumental in the growth of its Omnitracs division.
After serving in senior management there for more than 16 years, Norm took the role of COO of I.D. Systems, Inc., a provider of wireless asset management systems for the transportation sector.
Jim Angel, Vice President, Video Telematics
Jim Angel has over 20 years of experience in transportation. From driver to dispatcher to fleet owner, Jim has held a variety of hands-on positions that have helped him truly understand the trucking business from the inside out. Jim also has experience as Director of Safety & Compliance and stays involved with several trucking and safety associations. Now as VP of Video Telematics, Jim continues to help fleets leverage technology to ultimately increase safety and productivity.
